Presley's Beach Party at Sunny Days

Presley had a fun day at pre-school today! They had their beach party. She got to wear a tank top, bermuda shorts, sandals and her sun glasses! She was in heaven! She also brought along her beach towel and some sand toys. They had fun fishing,
swimming, having a picnic, playing in the sand
and pretending they were all crabs.
They layed out on their beach towels,
looked at real seashells in magnifying glasses,
and each made a fish to take home.
Mommy took a couple hours off to go and help the class. It was a fun morning!

Our Nieces!

Hi,

I decided to devote this blog entry to our 2 nieces!

We welcomed our 2nd niece into the world yesterday. Mackenzie Chase Sieve was born at 5:15 a.m., weighed 7.5 lbs., and is 20 inches long. She is Jason's brother Justin and his girlfriend Holli's little girl. She is doing very well!
Our other niece, Mersaydes Marie Marten, is my brother Eric's daughter. She is 10 1/2 months old! She is doing so great!
We love you both!

Just a little update from us!

Hi,

Thought I would update our blog...it's been a couple weeks again. January has been fairly uneventful for us. Jason has been gone for work quite a bit. He has been up in Albertville, MN testing machines on the MNDOT track. He was gone the 12th - 15th and then again the 18th - 21st. The girls and I stuck around home in the evenings the first week he was gone as it was so cold. When he left on the 18th, he actually rode up with us and we spent a night up there with him in the hotel. It was a great time. We shopped (I love the Albertville Outlet Mall!), swam and enjoyed the night away. The girls and I drove home the next day and Jason rode home with another guy from work that Wed. Other than that, we have been keeping busy as usual.

A little update on both girls -

-Presley is doing so great! She is quite the big sister. She is super excited for her beach party at Sunny Days this week (more pic's to come on that after!)

-Madison is over 13 months old now. She just had 2 more teeth come through - 10 total now! We are working on being done with bottles. I really don't think it's going to be too hard as she loves sippy cups! She still loves to talk on the phone, wear her Mardi Gras necklaces, and follow Presley around the house! Her new favorite word is "MOM!" I just love the sound of it. She even calls Jason "mom!" It's about time! It was "dada" for quite awhile! She is starting to really recognize words and understand what we are saying...if we ask her where Presley is, she goes and finds her and if we tell her to go get her blankie, she does just that. She is doing so well!

I took these pictures of the girls in the last couple weeks! Enjoy!

Playing in a McDonald's playland

I love matching! Have you figured that out yet?!?!

Madison crawled in this basket! It was quite comical!

Thanks for reading!

Madison's favorite things!

Madison has found a few things that she absolutely loves! It is so cute...it's blog worthy! For about 2-3 weeks, she has been fascinated with everyone's tooth brushes! So much so that she carries them around the house and brushes her teeth constantly!

Then, in the past week, she has started to love necklaces! She puts on 3-4 at a time and wears them all day long! Today I found her with all of these on...

We have to take them off her for her naps and when she falls asleep at night! It's so cute! Jason is worried that he has another high maintanence woman on his hands! She also still loves her babies! She has 6 of her own now! Grand total at our house...close to 40 babies with Presley and Madison's combined! I think we are done! Have a great weekend!

An afternoon/night out at Bridges Bay

For the most part, we had been stuck in the house way too long! It was time to get out and do something. We decided New Year's Eve that we would go to Bridges Bay that next afternoon. We learned that after 4 p.m., you get in for a little less! We all packed in the trailblazer (all 6 of us - Jason, me, Presley, Madison, Auntie, and Kevin in the way back) and trucked to Okoboji. It's actually only 30 min. from our house! We had a blast! We spent 5 hours swimming! Check out the pictures! If you have never been there, it's a must go...even for an evening of swimming...very fun!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Sieve's

Hi,

It has been a couple weeks since I have posted...I am way over due! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone! Here's what we have been up to (it's been crazy busy!)

Christmas Eve we celebrated by opening presents during the day (just the 4 of us),

went to church with my family, and then spent the evening with Grandma Mary, Grandpa Darwin, Uncle Justin, Holli, Grandpa Harm, and Grandma Rose. Christmas Day we went to Grandpa Harm and Grandma Rose's house for lunch and then to Grandma Sue and Paul's house for supper. Auntie, Kevin, Uncle Eric, and Mersaydes were there too! On the 26th, we celebrated Christmas with Granpa Terry in the evening. Our girls got so many toys...they don't know what to play with next! My mom keeps saying we should have taken out stock in Fisher Price! The highlight for them was there Barbie Power Wheels jeep that they got from Santa!!!
Presley also got a Smartcycle bike for our t.v., a baby changing station, baby hair salon chair, etc.! Madison got a sit-n-spin pony for our t.v., a learning chair, vacuum, 5 babies, etc.! On the 27th, we celebrated Madison's 1st birthday with a party at our house.
We had soups and sandwiches for lunch and then cake and icecream! It was a fun day for her!
We had Madison's well baby check on the 29th! She weighs 20 lbs, 7 oz and is 30 3/4 inches long! 50th percentile for weight and 90th for height. She is actually taller then Presley was at 1. Presley weighed 1 lb. more though. She is doing so great! Walking all over...and practically running sometimes too! She is eating all table foods now, drinking some whole milk, and I am still nursing a little bit. I hope to stop that in the next month.

Last night, New Year's Eve, we layed low! Auntie and Kevin were at our house...so we rented movies, had homemade pizza, and just layed around all night! We did manage to ring in the New Year (but were in bed by 12:15 a.m.!)
Anyhow, I guess that about does it for us for now! Have a wonderful day!
