Madison is 1 1/2!

What an exciting 18 months we have had...I just can't believe Madison Jay is 1 1/2! June 20th was a very exciting day! Not only did she turn 1 1/2...but her Auntie got ENGAGED! This post is going to be all about Madison!!!

We took her to the Dr. yesterday for her 18 month well baby check. I guess I can't really say "well baby" as she is a toddler now! And boy is she! She is the busiest kid I know! She weighed in at 22 lbs, 9 oz (25th %) and is 33 inches tall (75th %). I did ask the Dr. about her weight and told him a couple times how much she eats. Anyone that has had a meal with her in the last 2-3 months is probably shaking their head "yes" to this!

He told us absolutely not, we shouldn't be concerned...she is growing and is doing great. She talks constantly. There are about a dozen words we can make out...and probably a dozen more that aren't even close...but we know what she is saying!

Her hair is really starting to grow...we aren't doing many ponytails yet...but we are using lots of clips when she will keep them in!

She loves baths...but isn't real sure about swimming pools yet! She sleeps very well at night and likes to take an hour morning nap and a 2-3 hour afternoon nap.

She runs, jumps (she loves the trampoline),
climbs,

and is on the go constantly! She has a big sister to keep up with!

All in all, she is doing great! We love you Madison Jay!

Happy Dad's Day!

Here's wishing all the dad's a Happy Father's Day!

We had a nice Father's Day weekend.
On Friday night, we headed to the Nobles County Relay for Life walk at the fairgrounds. It turned out to be a wonderful evening. We didn't get home until midnight. Then, at 3 a.m., we got a very exciting call from Auntie Amber and Kevin...they had just gotten ENGAGED!!!! Congrats to them!
On Saturday, we ventured up to Mankato to spend the day with my dad. He worked until 3 that afternoon, so he got in on a little shopping with us, supper at Red Lobster, and some time at the park! It was fun to spend some time with him.
On Sunday, Jason and Justin headed to Worthington (Justin, Holli, and MacKenzie stayed at our house on Sat. night) for golfing. Unfortunately, the down pour of rain on their way in prevented any of that. We did enjoy a nice lunch at the Sieve's and an afternoon of visiting. Madison loved the corn on the cob! We took late naps at our house and headed to Okoboji for a very nice supper at...Godfather's! Ok, so it wasn't Bergen...but I didn't have to cook!

All in all, it was a great weekend!

Windsurfing Regatta weekend fun!

We spent quite a bit of time down at the Windsurfing Regatta last weekend. The hospital and clinic had a booth...so Friday I spent all afternoon working at that. Unfortunately, it rained the entire time so there wasn't many people out. We had thought about coming back to town for supper...but decided against it after being out in the rain all day. Saturday, the girls and I walked in the Regatta walk and then had lunch at the taco stand. We headed home for a few hours and came back later on for supper. We had a great time visiting with close friends and just enjoying the evening out! Here are a few Regatta pictures and then a couple other cute ones I recently took! Enjoy!

Ava Sieve and Madison just hanging out!

Konner Honius and Presley...they are so cute!

Karter Honius and Madison...they are quite the beach babes!

Madison doing her usual...climbing on stuff! She has no fear!

Man, she is sure cute! Her hair is getting longer now! I will post more on her over the weekend...as she will be 1 1/2 on the 20th.

Presley got her hair cut...2 inches! Great summer do!

I will try to post again sooner then a month! Stay tuned...

House project gets started!

It's been very exciting for us to get our house project started back up again! It has been 3 summer's since we added on. Now, it is finally time to reside our old part, put in new windows, doors, and decks! We started the last week in May. Cavell, our contractor, has been helping us 2-3 days a week since. It is coming right along! Take a look...

The first day! Exciting!

The back windows are in!

Starting to see some great progress!

Time to start the north side!

The big window came out today!

A special thanks to our great helpers...Cavell, Grandpa Darwin, Grandpa Harm, and Pauly!

And the bay window goes in!!! Be careful!

I sure hope they all ate their wheaties this a.m.!

Is it level?

The front of the house!

The girls are loving their new playing spot already!

I will send out more pictures as we progress! Hope you enjoyed these!

More fun times in the month of May!

Hi,

I just realized tonight how long it had been since I posted...over a month! Even Jason commented on how he hadn't read anything lately. Here goes...there may be more then 1 post tonight! Happy reading!
Presley and I had a "girls night out" the middle of May when we went to the dance recital to see Kara H., Bryn D. and other friends perform! It was a very fun night! We first ate at our favorite place...Panda House! Then we headed to the recital. It went a little longer then we thought...about the last hour, Presley was ready to leave. We were there for 3 hours. All in all, it was a fun night!
We managed to get to the park a couple afternoons after work and took a few fun pictures there! We would pick up supper first at 5 and then have a picnic at the park!

We got up to see Uncle Justin, Holli, and MacKenzie in May. Finally! We had tried a few times after MacKenzie was born and it never ended up happening. We even trucked out in a snow storm once to see them (hoping the roads would get better). On our way home from Marshall that night, we stopped for icecream. That was a treat...and a mess! Oh well!
Here are a few other fun pictures taken in May!
