Jason Aldean ROCKS!

We had a great time on Thursday night at the Jason Aldean concert! Eric and Jackie came along with us...they are really starting to get into the concert scene! He was in Mankato so we took up my dad's offer again to watch the girls while we went out and had a great time!
Luke Bryan opened for him. Another guy opened for both of them...but I can't remember his name (sorry!)
Our seats were on the floor...but we managed to sit behind a lot of big haired people...so we ended up standing behind the sound section most of the night. The view was pretty good...and I had a great camera that took some amazing pictures!

My favorite song of the night had to be Amarillo Sky! Jason's was Hicktown! We are already talking about what our next concert will be...stay tuned! Thanks to Eric and Jackie for going along and to my dad for supper before the concert, watching our girls, and the sleepover after! It was a great time had by all!

Happy 33rd Birthday Daddy/Jason!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dear Daddy/Jason, Happy Birthday to you!

Jason turned 33 on Feb. 28th!

Our families met us out for lunch at Pizza Ranch to celebrate! It was a nice time! Then, for supper we took him to Bergen! It's one of our favorite places!

It was a good day! Another year older! We love you Daddy/Jason!

The Wedding Dress is in!!

Amber called me on Feb 18 with much glee in her voice "Holly, Rush's called and my wedding dress is in!" She was so excited! We were going to the cities in a few week's...so we would see it then. Amber emailed me to see if I would come in 2 days to go and pick it up with her. The weekend was kind-of full...so I told her it wouldn't work. Sunday night on the phone with me, she had a small, bride-to-be meltdown. She really wanted to get her dress now and she wanted me to come with. So, I did what every Matron of Honor would do...got to work on Monday a.m. and re-arranged my schedule so that I could go on Th. afternoon. I took Friday off. Presley and Madison wanted to come too of course! So, Th. afternoon, I picked the girls up before naps at daycare and we took off! We got there around 4:30. Auntie welcomed us with these nice signs!
We had tentatively planned to lay low on Th. night and then get her dress on Friday a.m. It was a nice night...so we took a few pictures outside before it got dark.

Kevin arrived right at the end of taking pictures. Amber and Kevin had decided to make us teriyaki bowls for supper. When Amber was in California, a great place we ate featured teriyaki bowls. They were a fun treat! Then, change of plans, we decided to load up the car and head to David's Bridal before it closed Th. night. Amber has 2 bridesmaid dresses in mind...and she wanted me to try them both on again. I think she is getting closer to deciding. We made a quick stop to Kohl's and then went back to her place for the night. We were all sound asleep by 10:15 (no girl talk for us...way too tired)!
Friday a.m. we woke up by 7:30. Amber went to class from 8-9 while the girls and I ate breakfast and got ready. We headed for downtown Minneapolis by 10 a.m. Amber was shaking like a weed...she was so excited, nervous, anxious, etc. Would the dress that arrived be the right one, would it be the right color...and the inevitable...would it fit?
Fit it did...like a glove! It was her dress...and it was perfect! She looked beautiful in it! We were so excited to be there with her to pick it up!

After picking her dress up, we headed to Kevin's to show him it! J/K! No way! Kevin tried to get Presley to tell him what it looked like and Amber said "Don't you dare!" Kevin made us pizza for lunch.
After lunch, Amber had agreed to go to my favorite place...and her least favorite...Albertville! She said that was the least she could do to repay me for driving up. We both had 1 goal at Albertville...to buy Coach purses! Go figure...they had nothing we wanted! Well, of course we would have loved 1/2 of them...but nothing we wanted to fork out $100 plus for. HJason would be proud! So, we decided to wait. We shopped until 5:30 p.m. It was time to get going. We dropped Amber off at her car and were at the corner of 494 and 169 at 6:30 p.m. We made it home by 9:15 p.m.
What a fun trip! I'm glad we did it! Less then 6 months and Amber will be walking down the aisle in her dress...can't wait!
