A Mother's Love...

..is like None Other! As I celebrated my 5th Mother's Day the beginning of May...I couldn't help but think of that saying over and over! I'm blessed beyond belief to be the mother of the 2 most beautiful girls in the world (ok, so I'm a little biased)!

I was reading a good friend of our's blog the other day and she gave me the idea to go down memory lane...so here goes...

Jason and I had just started to talk about having children. We had been married for a year but had dated for 6 years. We both knew we wanted kids! And that's pretty much all it took...talk of it...and I was pregnant. I was completely shocked to find out I was pregnant and very scared. Was I ready? Was I going to be a good mother? My pregnancy went pretty well. I ended up in the hospital at 10 weeks with a kidney infection. I wasn't too sick during the rest of it...just quite nauseous and gaggy until about the half way point.

Presley Renee came into my life on August 4th, 2004 (1 day before her due date) at 6:14 a.m., weighing 9 lbs, 12 oz. and was 22 inches long! I had fallen in love again!

She was an incredible baby, toddler, and now a little girl! She is pretty layed back and soft hearted!
We knew we wanted to wait a few years until we had another child. We wanted to give Presley as much time by herself as we could! When Presley was right around the 2 year mark, we decided it was time. Getting pregnant the 2nd time was a whole different story. We tried and tried. I think I put way too much thought into it (go figure!) It was after trying for 5 months I told myself enough...I need to stop thinking about it. The 6th month...I was pregnant. No shock this time...we were so excited! My 2nd pregnancy was a little worse...I ended up getting the flu 5 times and was hospitalized 2 times for dehydration. By the end, I was ready to be done!
Madison Jay came into my life on December 20th, 2007 (1 1/2 weeks early) at 8:08 a.m. weighing 7 lbs, 10 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long! I had fallen in love for the 3rd time!
She was also an incredible baby! She has entered the toddler stages now! So far so good! She is our go-getter, busy, full of life child!

And here they are together...we have lots and lots and lots of pictures of the 2 of them!
I can't imagine my life without my girls! They mean absolutely everything to me! They have given me more joy then I could ever imagine! Each Mother's Day reminds me of how lucky I am to have them and to be their mother! Thank you Presley and Madison (and Jason for playing a huge role in giving me the chance to be a mother!)...I love you all more then I could ever say!
