Weekend Activities were lots of Fun!

Last weekend we had a great time with a couple fun activities.

Saturday we headed to the Jackson parade late afternoon. We hadn't been to a parade yet this year. It is a nice one...it lasts about an hour. And thank goodness it didn't last much longer as it was a hot one! The girls are at a great age where they sit nicely on the curb, get candy, and then sit back down to watch!

After the parade, we grabbed a bite to eat and then headed to the races. It was AgCo night in Jackson so we all got in for free! It was a lot of fun. My mom and Paul joined us! They ended up getting called off with about 45 min - 1 hr. left due to the weather. Like I said, we all got in for free, so it didn't bother us too much.
On Sunday, the Shrine Circus was in town! We invited Jason's parents to join us.
The girls enjoyed riding on the ponies.
The show was pretty similiar to last year...but the girls loved it!
Their favorite part was the clown! He was pretty funny! Jason's was the guy who did flips on his bike and mine was the girls in their pretty costumes!
I think we will take a year or two off or maybe hit up the circus in S. Falls next year.

Moped rides are way too fun!

My mom and Paul invited us over last week for supper! We had a great time eating, visiting, and being outdoors. The best part of the night for the girls was walking Bailey, my mom and Paul's dog, and getting moped rides from Daddy! All they did was ride up and down the driveway and down the sidewalk...but they both had a blast! Check out their huge smiles below...

Thanks mom and Paul for having us over!

Happy 4th of July 2010!

We had a great 4th of July! It was our 4th weekend in a row pulling our camper out!

Back in April, I reserved 2 camping spots for us and our good friends the Nelson's! Friday afternoon we headed to Okoboji and camped for 4 days and 3 nights at Marble Beach! We had a lot of fun swimming, kayaking, biking, grilling, shopping, watching fireworks 2 times, sitting by the bonfire, and visiting!

We had some great visitors over the weekend...Auntie and Kevin stayed with us for 2 nights, Grandpa Terry came for a day, Grandma Sue and Pauly came to swim with us and stayed for the evening, Grandpa Darwin and Grandma Mary came for an afternoon and so did Uncle Eric, Jackie, and Mersaydes. Joe and Pam came for supper one night and then stayed with the Nelson's.

Check out the weekend pictures below...

The girls are in the back of the pick-up headed to the beach. It was a hot day!
Everyone was excited to kayak! Even I got in one 2 times and went quite a ways. Auntie and Kevin have 2 kayaks that they brought along.

The girls had a great spot to ride their bikes...which they did probably 1/2 the time we were there.

Here we are lounging. We had nice spots at the camp ground. We were not far from the bathrooms and showers. One of the highlights of the weekend was when Lauren came out of her camper and told me "Holly, my aunt Pam just got engaged in the camper!" Jeremy's sister Pam got engaged to
Joe V. right at the camper on July 3! They have dated for 10 1/2 years. Congrats to them!

Here the girls all festive in their fireworks shirts!

Leah and Lane loved to play in the jeep and escalade.

Time to feed the babies!

Up to no good...as usual!
The best part about camping is the memories! Lots of great memories were made this weekend! Thanks to the Nelson's for camping with us and for all the great company!

Our first time this summer at the Lakefield Pool!

Our first time at the Lakefield pool this year was July 1! I took the afternoon off and we went with our good friends Angie and Jacob Meyer and Lauren Nelson. After YMCA Day Camp that day, we went out for lunch and then headed to Lakefield. It was a great day to be at the pool! We all loaded up with sunscreen (I should have put a ton more on me as I got burnt!) and we swam for a few hours. If you have never been, you should go! It's such a fun pool! Here are some great pictures of the kids...
