Presley starts 1st grade!

When kids start going back to school, that's officially the end of summer at our house. Time to get back into a routine. Presley's school started on August 23rd.

The week before school at her conferences, she seemed a little sad about going back. On the day of was a completely different story! She was very excited! It's hard to believe she is in 1st grade in Mrs. Vorwald's class.

After 4 weeks of school, she is loving it...her teacher is awesome, she loves homework, she gets along great with all the kids in her class, etc. Yeah! Here are some pic's of her first day...

Golf outing with the Sieve's + Motorcyle Rides with Dad!

On a Sunday towards the end of August, Jason's parents invited us over for lunch after church and then we went golfing. It was a fun afternoon! The girls love to go golfing. I'm not sure what they like better...swinging the clubs or riding and driving the golf carts! Ok, I know what they like best...I'm sure you do too! Here are some pic's from our afternoon on the course....

After our golf outing, we headed home for naps. Jason decided to ride the motorcyle down to Okoboji. When he got back, the girls were excited to go on a couple rides around the yard! They are quite the biker babes!

Welcome home Auntie and Uncle Kevin!

The day we had been waiting for for 11 months had finally arrived! My sister and brother-in-law were coming to MN to stay (for awhile anyway)! No more traveling the world...their year long mission trip had ended. The girls were absolutely ecstatic the day we got to pick them up in Sioux Falls. They came in at 9 p.m. on Aug. 17!

Here are some pictures of their arrival...

The girls made them this sign ( with just a little help from me) and had to wear their matching lime shirts (as Auntie and Uncle Kevin love limes in their Dt. Cokes!)

Here they come down the terminal. Amber said they ran the whole way down.

The girls were jumping up and down!

Lots of hugs and kisses were necessary!

Aw! At last! Quick picture while waiting for their luggage!

Welcome home to them! We are so glad they are here! They are living with us until they find jobs. We hope that takes awhile!

More fun camping trips - Everly, IA and Yankton, SD

We took a couple very fun camping trips the end of July and mid-August!

The first one was a trip to Everly, IA to Scharnberg's in late July with our good friends, Jamie and Lori Gravenhof, and their 2 boys, Dalton and Dawson. We spent 4 days and 3 nights with them. It was a great trip! We did lots of swimming, eating, and visiting. It was a very, very hot weekend. I'm going to blame the heat and being 20 weeks pregnant at the time on the lack of pictures I took. Lori and I both didn't take 1 picture. Of course I wish I had now...but oh well. It was a really nice park. We will definitely go back again. Thanks to Jamie, Lori, and the boys for going...we had a great time!

Our second trip was to Lewis and Clark in Yankton, SD the second weekend in August with our good friends Shawn and Krista VanHeuvelen, their kids Tanner and Morgan and then our other good friends Jeremy and Diana Nelson and their kids Lauren, Lane, and Leah. We spent 4 days (got there on a Thursday afternoon) and 3 nights there. It was a wonderful campground...absolutely huge with over 300 sites. They are all along the river. It was a great weekend weather wise too...75-80! I managed to take a bunch of pictures while we were there...

The first day we got there wasn't until the afternoon so by the time we set-up, it was time to eat supper. We stayed close to our campers that night.

This is the first full day we were there. We all went on a bike ride in the a.m.

These 3 managed to be the Puma girls one day!

The first afternoon we were there, we went to the dam. It was really neat to see.

Here are most of the kids.

The 3 oldest watching the water at the dam.

The second full day we were there we went and played laser tag. They had a really nice place that had indoor and outdoor laser tag.

Don't they look like a bunch of bad *****!

The 3 oldest kids!

We went swimming that afternoon. A few of the kids thought it would be fun to be buried!

Just playing in the sand!

Doing a little dance!

Just lounging!

Morgan V. and Madison are only 4 months apart! They had a blast together this weekend.

Even the guys enjoyed the water.

Presley and Leah.

Saturday night we had to go hit up the go cart track. This was a really neat place that had a lot to do. Go carts, mini golf, a train, bumpe- boats, bumper cars, etc. Everyone had a great time!

I'm not sure if the trip to the go-cart place was for the kids or the dad's!

They had a lot of fun too!

Since Madison and Morgan were too small to ride the go-carts by themselves, they got to ride the train a couple times.

Sunday was our last day at the campground. We planned to pack up and leave after lunch. We took some pictures before we left.

This is a nice one of all the kids.

Yankton is another spot we will definitely head to again! Thanks to the VanHeuvelen's for inviting us! We had a great time!
