34 1/2 weeks!

Here are a couple pictures of me at 34 1/2 weeks pregnant. Presley was willing to take them. This was on October 26th. Let's just say I was very, very ready to be done with my pregnancy! Only 5 weeks to go!

Madison goes to Grandpa's Funny Farm and the Firestation!

It is official...I am the worst blogger ever! LOL! I am 3 months behind. A good friend of ours who is a frequent reader of our blog recently reminded me of it. One of my goals on my leave is to get this up to date. So...here goes...

Madison's Sunny Days pre-school class took a couple fun trips the end of September and early October.

The first one was to Grandpa's Funny Farm! I was able to take the morning off to go along. She absolutely loved riding the bus and visiting the farm. They got to see lots of animals, feed the animals, take a train ride and have a snack while they were there. Here are some pictures of her and our niece Mersaydes...

2 weeks later, they headed to the firestation and the library. Jason took the morning off to go along with her to these 2 spots. Her favorite part was going in the fire trucks. I sent the camera along (much to his dispare) and was excited to see he actually did take a few pictures!

This was the class...a little dark...but you get the jist of it!

The next field trip they will take is in early spring to the hospital. Stay tuned for that post!

Trojan Dance Camp performance and camping!

The middle of October we opted to go camping one last time. Our friends the Donkersloot's said they would go along. We just went out to Olson Park in Worthington. We were one of 5 campers out there that weekend. I just had an urge to go one more time (although Jason didn't share this same urge, he still went with it). We pulled out on Friday night and stayed until Sunday a.m.

Presley had been involved in a dance camp that whole week (they practiced everyday after school) and they performed Friday night of that weekend at the high school football game. We all went out to watch her. She had a couple good friends in it, including Bryn Donkersloot and Lauren Nelson. They did a great job!

She is the second one from the left and Lauren is right next to the helper.

Here is a great shot of Presley and Lauren.

The grand finale!

Way to go girls! This is Lauren, Bryn, and Presley!

After the dance on Friday night, we headed out to the camper and started a bonfire. It was a very cool night...definitely needed the heat in the camper.

Saturday turned out to be a nice day. Jason D. had to work and my Jason went home to work around the house. Wendy and I brought the kids to the movie Dolphin Tale. I highly recomment it...it was very good! The VanHeuvelen's joined us that evening for supper. We made soups and grill cheese. We had another bonfire that night. The Behrend's came out for that. It was a fun day!

Sunday we opted to leave right away in the morning as we had things we wanted to do around the house. I was so glad we had went one last time!

Happy 9 year anniversary to my BFF!

Here's wishing my hubby and BFF a very Happy 9 Year Anniversary! I found this picture...it was one of our engagement pictures! October 5th, 2002 seems like just yesterday! It was a beautiful day through and through!

It's amazing how our life has changed...2 kids plus one more on the way, addition to our house, etc. If only I could remember every amazing thing we have done!

I love you very much Jason! Here's to 50+ more years of wedded bliss!

Busy, Busy Weekend - Saloon Party and Twin Cities Marathon

We had a very busy weekend the first weekend in October. We got invited to go to Jason's mom's cousin and his wifes saloon party and had the Twin Cities Marathon the very same weekend. So, being the people we are...we didn't just pick one to go to...we opted to do both!

Saturday afternoon was the saloon party. You may have heard us talk about this in the past. We have been to it a few times. Jason's relatives live just outside of Brandon, SD on an acreage and have built this incredible saloon and shed next to it. See below. And that's not all...they have horses, buffalo, etc. It's a really neat place!

This is the start of the inside of the saloon.

We took some nice pictures outside of the saloon with Mary and Darwin, them with our girls, them with all their grandkids and then all of us.

They had a dj in the red building so we spent some time listening to the singers! Here is Jason, his dad, and brother.

The girls loved the animals.

Just chilling!

The girls had the best time on the haybails at the end of the night.

And, if that wasn't enough fun for one day...what the heck...let's drive up to the cities for the marathon! We left the saloon party in Brandon at 7:30 p.m. and got to the cities at 11 p.m. No big deal! LOL! The girls slept from 9:30 on. We crashed with my mom and Paul in their room. Amber and Kevin stayed in a room with a good friend of theirs.

The marathon started at 7:15 for Amber and Kevin and 8:15 for Paul. Amber and Kevin were running the 10 mile and Paul was running the full 26.2 miles.

This is the start for Amber and Kevin.

And they are off...now to get back to the starting line to see Paul take off.

Here is grandma with our girls.

The start for Paul.

And he's off too...

We got to the finish line just as Amber and Kevin were crossing! They made it!

Now to wait for Paul.

This is the scene at the end of the race. It is so neat!

This person (not sure if it was a guy or gal) ran with a pig suit costume on the whole time.

And here comes Paul...he finished right around 4 hours.

Way to go you 3!!! We are so proud of you!

It turned out to be a fun weekend! Busy, busy...but fun!
