Dance class starts for girls

Madison's first day of school was even busier with her first day of dance class.  The girls are both so excited to start dance.  We tried it with Presley when she was 3 and she just wasn't quite ready.  After the recital last May, both girls wanted to give it a try.  We signed them up for Kay Prunty's Dance Academy.  Madison will go every Wednesday at 12:30 and Presley will go every Thursday at 3:30.  Both classes are an hour long.  Madison's class is 3 and 4 year olds (she is the oldest) and Presley's class is mostly 2nd graders.  She does have a 1st grader and a 3rd grader in her class too.  They dance at 3 events, walk in a couple parades, and have their big recital in May.  Should be a fun year for them!  Here are some pictures from their first dance class...

Madison smiled the entire time!  She was very excited!

Her good friend Bree L. is in her class too.  She is standing to the right of her in this picture.  Madison is the tallest in the class and she is the shortest!

I tried to take a couple of Presley at her dance class but they didn't turn out so great.
Here is one of them both in their outfits at the end of the day.

Madison's 1st day of her 2nd year of pre-school!

Madison started her 1st day of her 2nd year of pre-school at Sunny Days on Sept. 5, 2012.  She was very excited!  She would have been even more excited to go to kindergarten...she can't wait to go to school everyday.  Last year she went 2 mornings a week and this year she will go 3 mornings a week.  Here are some pictures of her 1st day...

Madison is in the same class again this year with our niece Mersaydes!

And her good friend Morgan is in her class too!

This is after I picked her up.  Sounds like her first day went great!

Our tradition is to go to her favorite place to eat after her 1st day.  No surprise here...Panda House!  Yummy!
Congrats on your first day Madison Jay!  We love you lots!  Here's hoping your year goes great!

4th Annual Labor Day trip

I think it's safe to say when I post about our Labor Day trip...summer is over!  It's hard to believe this was our 4th trip to Okoboji for Labor Day.  We always have such a good time.  My mom and Paul rented an A frame cabin again and we stayed for 4 days and 3 nights.  We all got there on Friday night and left Monday afternoon.  Our cabin was in a perfect location...probably the best spot yet!  We are right by the beach.  The weather was absolutely beautiful!  This year was a little different because Amber and Kevin had a wedding to take pictures for all day Saturday and we were invited to a wedding so we were gone Saturday afternoon and evening.  The girls decided they didn't want to go to the wedding...they would rather swim, mini golf, etc.  We didn't blame them.  We did bring Monroe with us though.  On Sunday we borrowed a pontoon from a guy I work with and spent 2 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon on that.  It was fun to do that too.  The weekend went really fast.  Here are some pictures of our trip...

It was fun to jump off the pontoon and swim!  Most of us did it.

We played quite a few yard games...bocce ball and ladder golf were the favorites.

The grillmaster!

Thanks so much to my mom and Paul for treating us to this great trip!  We love you both lots!
