The Bumbo and the Jumperoo

It's time for the Bumbo and the Jumperoo!

We didn't have a Bumbo for Presley or Madison so when Monroe got one for Christmas, we were excited to try it out!  Her first time in it was February 29th.  At first, she only liked to be in it for a few minutes.  Now she really enjoys sitting in it while I'm getting supper ready and then when we eat supper.  Her max though is 10 minutes in it.  We got the tray for it too so will be anxious to have her sit in it when she starts to eat cereal and baby food.

She sat in the jumperoo for the first time on March 29th.  She has only been in it a few times since and likes to be in it for about 5 minutes max.  She isn't bouncing around in it like her sisters did quite yet.  Presley and Madison absolutely loved the jumperoo so time will tell with Monroe.

Madison's PJ Party!

The pajama party at Sunny Days is always a huge hit!  Every kid I know loves to be in pj's and all day...better yet!  The party was on March 29th.  I was able to go to it for an hour and take a few pictures.

Mersaydes (our niece) and Madison

Madison brought her sleeping bag, little Dora pillow, her mimi (pink blanket) and her puppy!
 All essentials for bed!

Movie and popcorn is the perfect fit!  They watched a cute Easter Max and Ruby movie!

Popcorn...yummy!

Monroe is 4 Months Old!

Happy 4 months to our little Monroe!

Here's a little info. on how she is growing...

-Turned 4 months on March 21, 2012
-Height - 25 inches - 75th percentile
-Weight - 15 lbs, 8 oz - 75th percentile
-Sleeping patterns - she takes a 1/2 hr. nap in the mornings and a 2-3 hour nap early afternoon.  She is awake the rest of the day then.  She usually goes to bed around 10 and a few nights a week she sleeps through the night and a few she gets up once (to cuddle and eat with mommy!)
-Foods you like - she continues to like breastmilk!  We have mixed a little formula in her bottles for daycare to make the frozen breastmilk last a little longer.  In a month we have went through 1 jar of formula.
-Your accomplishments - she has started to grab at toys and hold onto them.  She has also rolled on her side a lot but not over.
-Who she looks like - everyone says she definitely looks like her sisters!  Some say she looks a little more like Madison then Presley.  I think she has a good mix of both in her!

She is growing way too fast...that's for sure!  If we could only keep them little forever!  We love you so much Monroe Rae!

A little tree trimming!

Spring is here!  Time for some tree trimming!  Jason's friend from work also helps a guy on the side with his tree trimming service so he brought over the bucket truck (not sure if that's what it's called) and they took down 4-5 trees.  Another good job to have done...check!

The girls had to go for a ride too!

Madison's Sunny Days Church program

Madison's pre-school has a special Sunday at First Covenent Church in Worthington (where the pre-school is housed) towards the end of the school year where the students and parents can come for a little program.  It's always very nice!  The kids sang a couple songs.  They also did a special little presentation for Mrs. Larson, the pre-school teacher, who will be retiring after this school year.  She will be missed!

Presley's 1st Grade Program

Presley's 1st grade program was held on March 8th.  They put on the program Tikki Tikki Tembo.

Rather then explaining it myself, I looked it up on Wikipedia.  Here's what it had to say - "Tikki Tikki Tembo is set in ancient China and invents an ancient Chinese custom whereby parents honor their first-born sons with long, elaborate names that everyone is obliged to say completely – no nicknames, no shortening of any kind – while the second-born sons are typically given short, unimportant names. A boy named Tikki Tikki Tembo-no Sa Rembo-chari Bari Ruchi-pip Peri Pembo ("The Most Wonderful Thing in the Whole Wide World") and his little brother Chang ("Little or Nothing") are playing near a well they'd been previously warned by their mother to avoid. Chang falls in the well, his older brother runs to their mother, tells her Chang has fallen down the well, and Chang is rescued. Some time later, the boys are again playing near the well. This time, the older brother falls in. Chang runs to their mother and shouts that "Tikki Tikki Tembo-no Sa Rembo-chari Bari Ruchi-pip Peri Pembo has fallen into the well", but she can't hear him. He says it over and over to no avail. He then goes to get the Old Man with the Ladder and uses the ladder to get Tikki Tikki Tembo-no Sa Rembo-chari Bari Ruchi-pip Peri Pembo out of the well in the nick of time. The story presumes to function as an aetiological myth about why Chinese names are so short today."

It was a very cute little program!  Here are some pictures from it -
Presley was a mother in the play.

The 3 mothers!

The whole class!

Way to go Presley Renee!  We love you!
