Our first camping trip of the season to Olson Park!

Our first camping trip of the season was for Memorial Day!  We went out on May 25th and stayed for 3 nights, coming home in the afternoon of May 28th.  We camped with 3 other families - the Nelson's, VanHeuvelen's, and Donkersloot's.

The weather turned out to be great.  Memorial Day is notorious for rain.  The only rain we got was from 5-midnight on the 27th so we took our supper to the Donkersloot's house and ate there and hung out. 

The kids and adults all had a great time socializing, playing, eating, drinking, biking, playing at the park, walking, fishing, etc.

All in all, the weekend was a huge success!  Thanks to our friends for joining us!  1 trip down...many more fun trips to come this summer!

Monroe is 6 months old!

Shhh...our 6 month old is sleeping...

 ...she is so tired...it's her 6 month birthday on May 21st, 2012!

Now she is awake and loves to take baths in her ducky tub!

Monroe Rae's 6 month Milestones:

Height - 27 1/4 (90th %) on 5-29 at her Dr's appt.

Weight - 17 lbs, 14 oz (75th %) on 5-29 at her Dr's appt.

Head - 43 3/4 cm, 17 1/3 inches (85th %) on 5-29 at her Dr's appt.

Sleeping patterns - She is not a big sleeper...she takes a 20-30 min. nap in the mornings and a bigger nap (2-3 hrs) in the afternoons and she is up after that for the evening.  She goes to bed between 10-11 p.m. and usually sleeps through the night.

Eating habits - She still nurses very well and eats rice cereal 3-4 times a week.  That is not her favorite thing.  If we can get her to eat 4-6 bites, that's about it.

Her accomplishments - She is sitting really well and clapped for the first time on 6-13-12.  She claps all the time now!

She is such a happy, care free baby!  And she is so smiley!  Happy 6 Months Monroe Rae!  We love you very much!
