It was 35 degrees so a perfect day to go. When the girls saw the hill and the tubes going down, their faces lit up! They didn't stop smiling the entire time we were there!
It was pretty busy since it was so nice. We got there at 3 and the first 1 1/2 hours we had to share tubes. So we would wait about 15 min. to get a tube, go down the hill and then wait in line about 15 min. to ride up on the mechanical rope. We tried walking up once...and not again! Can we say "out of shape!" It was worth waiting to ride up on the rope. At 4:30, it slowed down so that we didn't have to share tubes. We could go down right away and only waited 10-15 min. to ride up.
The tubes were great...they had covers on them (so no holes on the bottom). The girls could each have their own tube and sit right down in it. The first 4-5 times, we would go down with either Jason and I and then tie ourselves to one of the girls tubes. The last 4-5 times, we went down all 4 of us.
I managed to go down backwards every time. At first I didn't like it...but then I realized I could see the girls huge smiles as we went down!
I would go up on the rope first and then Jason would hook each of the girls up right behind me so I could help them at the top. Jason would follow the 3 of us.
Here are some pictures of our tubing fun...
Jason and Madison coming down. The rope is on the way left side.
