Mother's Day Weekend Adventure!

Happy Mother's Day

to all you mom's that are reading this!

When Jason asked me what I wanted to do for Mother's Day, it didn't take me long to tell him I wanted to go to the cities. Anyone that knows me knows how much I love the cities! If I could go there once a month for a long weekend, I would! No, I don't want to live there...but lots of visits sounds great to me! We hadn't been there in over 6 months (way, way too long). With Amber and Kevin not living up there for the past 6 months, we haven't really had a reason to go there. It was time!

We packed up Sat. a.m. and left home around 10. First stop was Albertville! We shopped for a few hours, ate at Don Pablo's and then headed to our hotel in Shakopee. Some good friends had stayed at this hotel and it looked like a lot of fun. We wanted to try it.

The girls loved it! They swam from 8 - 10 p.m. Here are some pic's of the waterpark and of them swimming...

By 10 p.m., we were all shot! It was time to head to bed. We got up at 8:30 and headed to the continental breakfast. Man was that good! Those breakfasts have come along way! After, Jason took the girls swimming for another hour while I got ready. We left the hotel at 11.

Here are some pic's after check-out at the hotel...

Next stop...MOA! Everytime we shop at the Mall of America, I'm just amazed. It's such an awesome mall!

We let the girls go on 4 rides each. Here they are enjoying the rides...

This is their favorite ride! They go up and down on this big chair!

We left MOA at 4 p.m. and headed home. What a great weekend we had! Thanks to Jason and the girls for going there with me! I love you all so much!

Happy Mother's Day to our mom's - Sue and Mary - and to our grandma's - Norma and Rose! We love you all!

Evening out at the Prairie Carnival Fundraiser

For over 10 years, Prairie Elementary has had a carnival at the school in early May as a fundraiser. We have tried to go a couple years and always had something come up. Beings we have a student there this year, we made every effort to go.

We got there right away at 5 to try and hit everything up before it got too busy. Presley and Madison had a great time. They spent most of their time with their friend Konner and a friend from Presley's class, Alaina.

By 7 p.m., it was time to go. It was very, very busy by that time. The girls had a great time and we will definitely go again!

Presley's Fun Days during the last month of Kindergarten!

The school year is ending! It's hard to believe Presley is almost done with kindergarten and will be a 1st grader this fall! She has absolutely loved kindergarten!

Their class took a trip to the Butterfly House and Sertoma Park on May 4. Here are some pictures of their day...

Although Presley wasn't a huge fan of the butterfly house (the thought of one landing on her scared her), she enjoyed the picnic and playing at Sertoma Park. The night before when she said she should wear white so the butterfly's land on her I thought oh boy, I would wear black so that didn't happen. I had a feeling she wouldn't love that part of it...as I don't think I would either.

The next day at school they had field day where all the kindergarteners got to go outside for a couple hours and play some fun games. Here are some pic's of that...

Thanks to Angie for taking these pictures and sending them to me!

Park Fun!

Spring is here! The girls and I just love our Tuesday nights when Jason golfs league and we can eat out and go to the park! We have had a couple nice Tuesday nights to do that! So far we have picked up the food, had a picnic at the park and played! We have a favorite park on the east side of Worthington that is rarely ever busy and it's on our way home.

Here are some pic's of the girls playing...
