She's Here!!! Our 3rd daughter is born!

It is with joyful hearts that we announce the arrival of our 3rd daughter Monroe Rae! She joined our family on November 21st, 2011 at 2:15 p.m. She weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 inches long! She ties our family together so nicely!

Now a little background on the day she was born - I was actually scheduled to have her on November 28th. We had picked the date in August and didn't tell anyone until early November when we decided to tell our immediate families. We had it all planned out (or so we thought!) Mid-November, I woke up during the night and was having contractions. Nothing serious. They lasted a few hours and then stopped. The same thing happened on November 21st. I woke up around 5 a.m. and was having contractions that were 5-7 minutes apart. The only thing was these didn't stop. I still managed to get up, get the girls ready, bring them to town, get them to school and daycare and then get to work...keep in mind I was still having contractions so had to stop every 5-7 minutes to get through the pain. I called Jason on our way into town to tell him. He said to keep him posted. I worked for 2 hours and then couldn't take it anymore. I went up to the OB Clinic where they monitored me for an hour. The contractions were still not stopping. This was 10:30 a.m. I called Jason during this time and he said he was going to get off of work right away. The Dr. decided he was admitting me and that more then likely we would have our baby that day! Holy cow! As they were walking me to my room, the nurses said to call Jason and tell him to grab my bag. The funny thing was...there was no bag! I hadn't packed anything yet. I had a week to go I thought. Jason got to the hospital at 11:30 and by 1 p.m. I was being wheeled down to have a c-section. We called our close family who all got off work and came right away. We kept the girls at school and daycare. Auntie and Kevin picked them up at 3:30 and brought them up!

The day was an absolute whirlwind! I look back now and just smile and laugh. As control as I think I have over things, somethings are just out of my control!

Here are some pictures of one of our top 5 most important days of our lives!
