Relay for Life a huge success!

The 14th Annual Nobles County Relay for Life event was held the week of June 14th.

It started with a survivors supper on the 15th at American Reformed Church.

The walk was held at the fairgrounds on June 18-19. We pulled our camper out so that our team, Sanford Worthington, would have a place to stay. I had read somewhere about the 3 stages of cancer and the reason Relay for Life's walk all night. When I told Jason about it, he said "why don't we pull out our camper then!" Since the survivors supper was a different night, a lot of the teams decided to sell food. Our team grilled hot dogs and sold chips and lemonade to go with. It was a lot of fun! It was nice for us to have a place to go throughout the night too. Jason, the girls, and I stayed over along with a couple team members. We went to the prayer service in the morning, packed up and headed home! Here are a few pictures from the night!

These luminaries were bought in memory of my step-dad Tom.
Our team worked so hard from Sept. 2009 - June 2010 and made over $8,200 for this very important cause! We are so glad to be a part of it!
