We went to the new firestation open house on 8-25-12 and took these couple pictures.

 Then went to Grandma Sue and Pauly's house after for supper on 8-25-12.

Daddy, Presley, Jeremy, Lauren, Pauly, and Uncle Eric went to the races on 8-26-12 so Madison, Monroe, and I hung out with my mom.  The Nelson twins hung out with us too!  First stop was the park!

They both fell fast asleep by 9 p.m.

Presley's 1st Day of 2nd Grade!

Presley's 1st day of 2nd grade was on August 22nd, 2012.  She was excited to start 2nd grade but not excited for summer to be over. 

We got her all ready to go and had 5 minutes to take a few pictures.

As we drove out of our driveway we saw this...a rainbow!  I told Presley it was going to be a great first day of school for sure now!

I dropped off Madison and Monroe at daycare first and then walked Presley into school.  She still likes for her mom to bring her in (which I love too!)

Her two good pals are in her class...Lauren N. and Cooper M.

And she's off...2nd grade already!  We hope you have a wonderful year honey!  We love you!

Monroe turns 9 months old!

Monroe Rae is 9 months old!!!

She turned 9 months on 8-21-12.  Here are some highlights -

Height - almost 29 inches

Weight - 19 lbs, 14 oz.

Sleeping patterns - you get up around 6-7 a.m. every morning (weekends you sleep until 8 usually), you stay up until your big nap in the afternoons (3-4 hours) and then are up all evening.  You got to bed between 9-10 p.m. and sleep 3 hours, get up to eat, sleep a couple more hours, get up to eat, and so on.  You get up 2-3 times a night (a few nights it has been more).

Eating habits - you still nurse really well.  You really like baby food and are eating step 2 gerber.  You like the vege's better then the fruits right now.  You eat baby food for lunch and supper.  Usually 1-2 jars at a time.

Your accomplishments - you can sit up from laying flat really well.  You started drinking a little wather the end of August.  You really like ice cream.  You are crawling like crazy now.  You wave "Hi" and "Bye" now and know what it means.  You have 5 teeth all the way through now. 

You are growing like a little weed and are a great baby!  Here are a few more pictures of our 9 month old!

Camping trip to Redwood Falls

Our 3rd annual camping trip with our good friends the Gravenhof's took us to a city owned campground in Redwood Falls, MN the 3rd weekend in August.  We try and go to a new spot each year.  Our first trip was to Luverne, our second trip was to Everly, IA and now here.  They had camped here once before but this was our first trip there. 

It was a beautiful weekend - 70-75 and sunny!  We couldn't have hand picked a better weekend weather wise.  We got there on Friday afternoon and camped until Sunday early afternoon.  We had 2 great camp spots right across from each other.

The Gravenhof's have 2 sons - Dalton is 11 and Dawson is 5 1/2.

We brought a bunch of lawn games so the dad's and the 2 older kids were playing!

Monroe really enjoyed the burley all weekend.

They have this really great petting zoo so we spent quite a bit of time

Friday night down at it feeding the animals. 

Saturday we hit up a couple trails.  We spent a couple hours walking.

This was a really neat bridge we went across.  The dad's and kids!

 

And the campground had a really nice park that we played at a few times.

It was a lot of fun!  Thanks to our friends Jamie, Lori, Dalton and Dawson for camping with us!  We can't wait for next year!
