We Wish You a Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM OUR HOUSE TO YOURS!!!!

It's official...it's a winter wonderland out there! I took a picture of Mr. and Mrs. Claus on Th. around 11:30. You will see in a later picture how much snow we had received 28-30 hours later!!

We got home on Wed. at 5 and haven't left the house since. Jason and Presley went with our neighbor 2 miles down the road to pull our mail lady out of the ditch. That's the furthest they have gotten. Madison and I did go out for about an hour on Th. to play in the snow with Jason and Presley...but that's it for us. We have no idea how much we have gotten...but it's A LOT!!! Although our Christmas has kept us home bound...we have had a lot of fun...just the 4 of us! Let's not get crazy though...we are excited to get out of the house...and hope to do so tomorrow (weather depending!) Here's what we have been up to the past couple days...

Wed. night we put a gingerbread house together. I found this great kit that had all the necessities in it! It was a family affair!
And here was the finished product!

On Christmas Eve, Presley and Madison woke up extra early to open presents! They were so excited! I managed to bribe them by getting them to take a few pictures first!

They helped get all the presents out and made their own piles!

I took a couple quick pic's of them by their presents...and then the fun began!

Jason and I decided to get each other some new furniture for Christmas...so we opted to just get each other a few very small things to go with that. We were excited for our furniture to come on Tuesday...just in time for Christmas!
Here is Presley Renee with all her presents!

And Madison Jay with most of her presents!

After breakfast and playing with presents, we decided to get bundled up and go outside! It was 25 degrees and snowing...perfect weather to do some sledding!

Then it was time to put out some magic reindeer food! We wanted to make sure they got a snack too while at our house!

Finally, CHRISTMAS had arrived! Santa made it to our house...even in the blizzard! Presley woke up even earlier to find 2 big presents downstairs with her and Madison's names on them! Madison got this rollercoaster from Santa...
And Presley got a Barbie camper!
We couldn't get them out of the boxes fast enough!

Both gifts seem to be a hit! They played with them all day today...plus with their other new toys! We have watched lots of movies too these past couple days!
As promised...here's another picture of Mr. and Mrs. Claus...28-30 hours later. The snow continues to come down and creep up on them! If it get to their faces...we are in trouble!
Here's hoping you have had a very Merry Christmas!!! Goodnight!

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY MADISON JAY!!!

It's hard to believe my baby is 2! Where has the past 2 years gone? They have just flown by. It seems that when you have 2 kids, the time just goes that much faster.
Madison had a great day! She woke up around 8:15. I'm not sure if she heard me in her room videotaping her (I made sure to be in there at 8:08...the same time she was born 2 years ago) or if it was the phone calls she recieved filled with birthday wishes!
We opened up presents right away!
Presley was excited to have picked a present out for her to give her this year. Dora of course! And she had to open that first!
Then it was a piece to the Precious Moments birthday train from mommy and daddy!
Next was a Dora blanket of her own!
Her "big gift" was a Dora Vanity! She loves to play with babies, dolls, and put on makeup! It was the perfect fit for her (and Presley!) So far so good...she has played with it a lot so far!

Then we ate breakfast and headed to Bridges Bay in Okoboji for the day! It was a very quiet day there so the girls pretty much had it to themselves!
They had a great time on the slides!

Then it was time for a break! We had pizza and smoothies!Back to the water park!

We stayed for a few hours and headed home. Madison was so tired...she fell asleep after about 2 minutes in the car and slept for 2 1/2 hours. When she woke up, we had supper and birthday cupcakes!
Make a wish!!!
She loves the frosting!
What a great day! We will celebrate her birthday again with a big party for her with all our family on the 26th! Happy Birthday Madison Jay! We love you so much!
