Santa Claus is coming to town!

We had a great time at Pioneer Village last Friday night. I hadn't been out there since I was a kid. Although it was a chilly night, we dressed warm (snowpants and boots for the girls) and enjoyed the holiday spirit which filled the air! My mom and Paul joined us for the fun filled evening!

A friend told us to get there a little early so that we were first in line to see Santa. It worked! We got to spend 15 min. with him all by ourselves. Presley sat on his lap for about 10 min. She loved it! It took Madison the full 15 min. to warm up to him. By the end, she was sitting on his lap too (but only for a second).
They had opened up all the buildings and some of them were quite lively. In the church, you could sit and sing Christmas carols, in the bar you could have supper and sing karaoke, in the grocery store you could buy Christmas goodies and listen to the musician playing his guitar, and in the barn you could watch the line dancers.
Probably the highlight for the girls (next to Santa) was the horse drawn hay rides! They enjoyed it so much that we went on them twice! It was a very fun night! One I highly recommend! I hope to make it an annual event for us!

Here's hoping you are enjoying the holiday season! Only 16 shopping days left!
