The Big Wedding! Auntie and Kevin get married! Part II

The BIG DAY had finally arrived!!!! We couldn't have been more excited!!!

Amber and I had a blast staying at the Konsbruck the night before the wedding. It is an amazing hotel in St. Peter. It only has 6 rooms and they are amazing! We visited, took baths in the old style tub, snacked, visited some more, etc. We managed to get to sleep by 1 a.m. and were up and going by 7 a.m. We didn't sleep the best...we were just way to excited!

Hannah, the first hairstylist was set to arrive at 8 a.m. Here are some fun pictures of us getting ready...

Presley wanted her hair up like mommy's and auntie's. We didn't want her to look to grown-up, but Hannah did a great job with it!

Madison and Mersaydes both had their hair curled and left down with a matching feather clip.
My turn! Hannah did an awesome job! Exactly what I wanted!

Now it was the bride's turn. The second hairstylist/make-up artist arrived at 10:30. Her only job was to make the bride beautiful! And that she did! Amber looked absolutely amazing!!!

This is one of my top 5 favorite pictures of the day! Auntie and one of her best friends and her first niece, Presley Renee! Presley also helped her with her shoes!
Now the fun was starting! The photographer and her second shooter came around 9 a.m. This was a fun picture Amber wanted to take at the hotel! So cute! Amber left around noon for pictures. We all finished getting ready and were on our way to the church by 12:30. More fun pictures...

Time to head outside for some outdoor shots...

Me and my BFF! Another of my top 5 pic's of the day!

Just for fun!
The 3 kids all grown-up!
What an amazing couple! I love this picture of them!
Our family! What a great group...
Love this one with our dad!
Another of my top 5 fav's of the day! Can you say Christmas card!!!
Grandma Norma and her great-grandkids!

Pictures were done...now it was time to start the wedding! I walked down with a great guy named Hal. The tears started to roll at this point...
...and they really fell at this point seeing our girls come down the aisle...
...and heck, why stop now! Here comes the bride and my parents! I was pretty much bawling at this point! Paul offered me a kleenex when I was up at the front...I politely told him no thanks...what I really needed was a beach towel!
What an amazing ceremony for 2 amazing people! Presley was a trooper and stood/sat by me the whole time. She wanted to be as close to her auntie as she could!
Mr. and Mrs. Bergson!!!
This is so Amber and Kevin...they had to do a group shot of everyone from the wedding! What a great picture!
Time for the fun! Amber and Kevin played an amazing video right before they came into the reception. The wedding party surrounded them as they came into the reception like paparazzi. They went right up to the front and sang 2 amazing songs - a Coldplay song called "Viva La Vida" and a song by Chantal Kreviazak called "Feels Like Home." This was played in the movie "The Notebook." My tears probably came down the hardest during this song. It was incredibly touching to hear them sing it and very, very, very emotional for me! When they practiced it at the rehearsal, I was crying so hard, my sister had to stop singing as she saw me and started to cry too. If you have never heard it, go to UTube right now and play it. It is amazing!
Then it was time for my speech! This was a time I was dreading as I knew it was going to be very hard for me. Right away though, I told everyone how hard it was going to be and if they noticed me going downhill, to cheer and get me back on track! They had to do that 6+ times. It actually did help though. This is what I had to say to my BFF and her new hubby...
"For those of you who don’t know me, I am the ball baby of the wedding, the MOH, Matron of Honor, and the incredibly proud sister of the bride! Hal and I talked before and decided that he would do all the talking about Kevin since he knows him best and I will do the talking about Amber since I know her best. Please bear with me as I attempt to give this speech to my best friend and her new husband! At any point if you notice the tears start to come, feel free to clap and cheer to get me back on track!

Amber Sue - when you were first born, I remember crying the entire way out of the hospital after visiting you. I remember mom telling me later on that she could hear me crying in the parking lot. Dad tried his hardest to get me calmed down at home. I was the first born and am pretty sure I didn’t want to have a sibling to share the attention with!

Then we got a little older and you started to annoy me. I couldn’t go anywhere without taking you along. If you cried, I got the blame. We fought a lot. We had to share a room. You borrowed my clothes without asking, you were always in my stuff and in the way!
Then we got a little older. My feelings for you started to change! You were a great playmate. We both loved to play Barbies, babies, and board games. I could practice french braiding hair on you. We rode together hand in hand to softball practice! I even liked it now that we shared a room.
Then we got a little older and I missed you like crazy while I was at college. I was excited to see you every chance I got. I liked talking about classes, friends, and boys with you! We were both growing up! You were becoming such a wonderful person – so fun to be around, caring, creative, outgoing, and someone I looked up to!

Two peas in a pod. Thick as thieves. Tight knit. Close as close can be. These are the terms I would use to explain us now! Probably the best one though is my best friend!

You have shared in the best memories of my life! You were the first to know we were engaged, you were my MOH almost 8 years ago, you were there when both of our daughters were born, you eagerly agreed to be their godmother, you haven’t missed their birthdays and have been such a big part of all of our lives!

I was honored to get the first call at 2 a.m. that you were engaged, to share in the excitement with you of planning your wedding, to get to plan the silly games we played at your bridal shower with you, and to share in all the laughter during your bachelorette party! And standing by your side today, watching you marry Kevin and celebrate with both of you! What an honor!
Congratulations to my playmate, my sister, my best friend. Oh, and to you too Kevin! From Jason, Presley, and Madison and the rest of our family – congrats! We love you both so very much!"
I made it through that! Now it was time for their first dance. Yes, you guessed it, more tears! They picked a song by Martin Saxton as that is who they went to see on their first date.
More dancing...
Another fun idea they came up with was the "Smile Station!" They hung up this cool backdrop and had their candid photographer take pictures of all the guests! The majority of the guests did them and can now order them!

The dance got done right around 11 p.m. We were all shot!!! Amber and Kevin left and everyone else pretty much did too! We made it! A+K=Mr. and Mrs. Bergeson!!!
Super, super fun day! Again, thank you, thank you, thank you to Amber and Kevin for having Jason, Presley, Madison, and I in it! You guys made us feel so appreciated and very much a part of the entire weekend and the planning for your special day! We love you both so very much!
