Monroe's room is done!

I am so excited to share these pictures with you of Monroe's room! It only took 2 1/2 months after she was born to get it done! We opted to turn our toy room into Monroe's room so we moved the girls toy room to our new basement (we converted a corner by putting some carpet over our hardwood floor (not permanently...just a large piece we turned into a rug that matches the other carpet).

I was insistent this time that we do a gender specific room (so that limited what we could do before hand). Jason painted the 2 brown walls before hand and that was pretty much it. I had picked out the fabrics for the quilt that my mom was going to make so that when the baby came, she could go out and buy either the pink set or blue set of fabrics. She did make the bumper pad, the crib skirt, and the curtain before hand as that had different colored brown polka dots and white in the fabric. My mom gave us the quilt for Monroe's baptism along with the diaper stacker.

Check out the pictures below...

This is the door you come in.

I just love the canvas prints!

Her closet.

The wall with her dresser and book shelf on it. I have to decide how I want to do that curtain yet (I think pink ties). So, that is the only thing that's not done yet.

The wall with her crib and name on it.

She loves watching her mobile.

The polka dots all around the room we put on ourselves. No, it's not a border. We bought those wall decals off etsy and strategically placed them around the room. Ok, so they aren't exactly the same...but we still love how they turned out and the whole room for that matter! Good job honey and thanks to my mom for the wonderful quilt and everything to go with!
