10+ years of the Clay County Fair!

After going to the Clay County Fair in Spencer, IA for over 10 years (Jason and I are thinking we have went every year since we got married + 3-4 of our dating years and Jason went a lot when he was a kid), you would think we would skip a year. Oh no, not us! Even if we have to cram it in (like we did this year). It always starts Turkey Day weekend and ends the following.

We went on a Tuesday this year. Jason was there all day with some guys from work (they have to attend 1 trade show a year and this was considered one) so I got off a little early from work, picked up the girls, and we met him down there. It was a lot of fun! We walked through the buildings (and managed to only buy some 600 thread count sheets for $20 - I'm anxious to try them out...I told Jason they are very soft and sheer...I sure hope we don't slip out of bed!), saw some animals, saw the train, walked through quite a few campers, and walked through the spec house. We ate some fun foods and then went on rides. Madison loves rides as much as Presley...she goes on just about every ride her big sister goes on! Even Mommy and Daddy got in on some rides too!

We did a lot in 5 hours. Some time we hope to go on the weekend...so we can spend more time there and enjoy some of the shows. Maybe next year!
