Pumpkin Carving 101

Tonight ended up being the perfect night to carve pumpkins. It had rained all day so Jason wasn't in the field and Halloween is only 2 days away! We hauled in the pumpkins, hauled out the cookie sheets and knives and went to town!

Presley dug right in to help...she loves to stick her hands in the goo! Madison liked to be close...but not too close. She ended up touching a seed...but that was about it. Check out the handy, dandy Pampered Chef icecream scoop we used...it has a lot more uses then one would think!
I googled Pumpkin Carving to see if we could find something really creative. We decided to do a traditional triangle smile and then our name! I actually did most of our name...Jason had to help me a little bit at the end with a couple letters that didn't look quite right. Next year we might buy a pumpkin carving kit and really get creative!
Of course it was a fun night with lots of laughs! Tomorrow Presley has her pre-school Halloween party and then Saturday is Halloween!
Have a safe and happy Halloween everyone!
