Great times with family at the Twin Cities Marathon!

We had a great time at the Twin Cities Marathon with my mom, Paul, Amber, Kevin, Eric, Jackie, and Mersaydes the beginning of October.

We went up on Friday night. We didn't get there until late so we just hung out at Amber's dorm.

Saturday we went out for breakfast with Amber and Kevin. They both had busy days and weren't able to spend much time with us on Sat. After breakfast, we went to the Marathon's Family Activities at the capital. All 3 girls ran in the Toddler Trot! Mersaydes ran, Madison got shy about 1/2 way and walked (still can't believe that!) and Presley ran her little heart out. It was cute! They have a mascot run too...so we manged to get a couple cute pictures of the kids! After the Toddler Trot, we grabbed lunch and headed to the outlet mall in Albertville. Mom had never been there and was quite amazed. We spent a few hours there, came back to Roseville and had supper at Olive Garden with Kevin. It was quite packed there...all the runners loading up on carbs. We were tired after supper so headed back to bed.

Sunday we got up early to see Pauly, Kevin, and Amber off at the metrodome. Start time was 8 a.m. - so we were there by 7:30. After they took off, we went and picked up Eric, Jackie, and Mersaydes from Stub and went to the 1/2 way point, 13 miles, to see how they were doing. All were still standing...so that was good! We hurried to the finish line to see Paul (and only made it by 5 minutes after having to make our way to the finish line through all the traffic!) Paul made it in 4 1/2 hours and Amber and Kevin made it in at 5 1/2 hours. All 3 looked really great! We are so proud of them! Congrats! By the time we got to the car, it was 3 p.m. and time to head home.

It was a fun weekend! I can't wait to go to the cities again...I just love it! Can't say I would ever want to live there...but do like to visit!
